Science Teaching Tools - We will select one high school science teacher in the local community to receive a $1,000 grant. Teachers working in schools which are poorly supported and/or with economically disadvantaged students are considered first. The selection will be based on the teacher's skills, his/her potential to use the funds well and financial need. Please use this document to apply for this grant. - William Penn High School of New Castle receives the $1,000 grant. We have money in our chapter to start a local scholarship, but we need help putting it together. Please contact scholarship@philly.afceachapter.org to help out. We need help in: 1. Setting up a local scholarship for graduating high school seniors. 2. High School Science Fair: We are looking for people to help judge this effort on April 6th, 2005. 3. High School Science Teaching Tools Grant Program: We need a coordinator to look after this program. If you are willing to help in any of these endeavors, please let us know.
